Jamba juice fundraiser
Hi Families,
The Athletic Department is selling Jamba Juice cards as a fund raiser for the school’s athletic fund. The Jamba Juice cards are $10 each and they can be purchased at the front office or from Mrs. Irvine.

Substitutes needed
TVA T-shirt Tuesdays
During the 2024-2025 school year, we are working toward a unified school spirit. To do this, every Tuesday, we are requesting that students wear a TVA shirt or a T-shirt with TVA colors (navy blue, light blue, or white). Our first TVA T-Shirt Tuesday is next Tuesday, September 24!
The classes that participate the most will win a prize each quarter. This effort will help us continue to build community as we move toward furthering our conversations regarding uniforms. A new parent survey has been sent to gauge interest in this topic and will include a preview of uniform options to be voted on. Please find the survey code at the bottom of this newsletter.
If you need a TVA T-shirt, we have a few left over from the fun run to give away. Please see the office to grab a shirt. Newly designed T-shirts will also be available for purchase.
Updated Calendar
There are copies of the updated calendar from the parent orientation in the school lobby. The last revision was made on 9/11/2024. You can also visit our calendar page on our website.

Early Release on Wednesday 9/25
There will be an Early Release day on Wednesday, September, 2024. The dismissal times are the same as on Fridays:
Preschool to 4th Grades = 12:45PM
5th Grades to High School = 1:00PM
The teachers will be participating in professional development in the afternoon. The office will close at 2:00PM
BASE will be available after school until 6:00PM
If your child is sick…
Please visit our Health & Safety page on our website for our health protocols. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is sick. Help us keep our students and staff safe from illnesses by keeping your child home when sick. Thank you!

Enhanced Parent Communication
The Enhanced Parent Communication feature on Teacher Ease gives the option to receive notifications through text message as well as email. This feature needs to be set up by the Teacher Ease account holder. Please follow these instructions to set up your communication preferences. We use Teacher Ease notifications to communicate alerts, such as current announcements and school closings and late starts due to inclement weather. We are not subscribing to Flash Alert this year and instead are using Enhanced Parent Communication.

There are students with an allergy to nuts in several classrooms. We are asking that students not bring food with nuts until find a better solution. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

These locations are the pick up areas for the following grades:
1st - 8th Grades - in the back of the school
Kindergarten - under the covered area in the front of the school
Preschool - in the preschool classroom
High School - in the front entrance of the school
Please follow these procedures for picking up your child.
The main entrance and lobby will only be available to parents who need to go to the office or have an appointment. Please do not pick up your student in the lobby, unless you have notified the teacher of a prior appointment that your child needs to leave early for school that day. This will help minimize traffic in the lobby and help keep our school a safe place. Thank you for understanding.
