What is Worship Workshop?

Every week our praise and worship team leads song service in our all-school chapel. This is a time of praising God together as well as having fun and building community.

Performing up front is not everyone’s favorite. That’s why this year we are offering an extracurricular course called Worship Workshop, a class for students in junior high and high school who want to learn to facilitate the various parts of what makes a successful program. If you want to perform up front, great! If being up front is not your favorite but you like technology, also great! We need both, and both are equally impactful to the outcome of the program.

Students will do any of the following according to their interests and skills:

Play or sing in the band
Run audio visual equipment
Organize Chapel programming

Student Expectations

Students attend the class on time reliably (Fridays at 7:15am)
Students will listen and participate to the best of their ability
Students in the worship band will practice their instrument regularly at home

About Michael

Michael is combining his love of music and technology with his background working at summer camp in this course. His goal is for students to have fun both up front and in the AV booth supporting great school chapels and other events.
