2020-2021 School Year Plans
This summer we have been working diligently to plan for our students' and staff's safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently preparing our school building and our educational programs to be able to offer our students a safe, high quality learning environment.
As soon as we meet county and state metrics and it is safe to do so, we are planning to resume classes on campus.
We have not set a date for this, because we want to have the flexibility to resume classes in person as soon as possible (we are not held to the November date public schools are planning on). Our principal, Mrs. Orozco-Acosta, will be in communication with families often about this.
Until we can resume in-person learning, we are planning for online learning.
Our teachers and staff have been busy preparing fun, creative ways to learn online!
Please know that as we created our 2020-2021 school year plan, we relied on expert advice. We have sought guidance from medical professionals, educators, and the Oregon Conference Education Department. The Oregon Conference, which governs our school, provides guidelines that incorporate guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).
