After School Computer Programming Classes
Would your student like to learn computer programming?
This fall TVA is offering two after-school computer programming classes!
Students grades 3-5 can enroll in the Scratch programming class.
Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at MIT Media Lab. During this 8-week course, students will design their own interactive stories, make art and animations, and design simple games. They will learn to create and share Scratch projects, learn to think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively. Classes are Mondays from 3:20PM-4:20PM and the cost is $150/student for 8 classes. For more information, click here.
Students in 9th grade learn to program and do 3D modeling using Python in their Project Integration class. If your student is going to be attending TVA's 9th grade class in the next few years, this after-school Python programming class would give them a head start on what they will be doing their freshman year!
Students in grades 6-8 can enroll in the Python programming class.
Python allows students to create games, analyze data, run websites and explore mathematical concepts. It is a simple to use, high level, versatile, portable, object-oriented programming language. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 3:20PM - 4:20PM. The cost is $160/student for 8 classes. For more information, click here.
